Behind strong association programs are often groups of dedicated people willing to roll up their sleeves and do the hard work of making it better. For Sustainable WA, one of those groups is the Technical Committee.
The Technical Committee is currently in the process of reviewing and updating the Sustainable WA Winegrape Standard for 2027. This is detailed, important work that requires careful attention to science, industry practice, and the on-the-ground realities that growers face every season. Each committee member has brought their own perspective and expertise to the table, and the result will be a stronger, more relevant Standard launched in 2027.
The committee's revisions are currently being compiled and discussed, with the goal of presenting a finalized set of proposed updates to the Sustainable WA Governance Council later this year.
Winegrowers extends a heartfelt thanks to each member of the committee for their contributions:
Catherine Jones, Brian Muegge, Chad Steiner, David James, Don Phelps, Ella Vincent, Julie Tarara, Lenora Jones, Markus Keller, Michelle Moyer, Parker Fannin, Serena Roberge-Gordon, and Stevie-Jean Bergen.
