Sustainable WA Kicks Off 2026 Registration with Informative Event

The 2026 Sustainable WA registration season got off to a strong start with an interactive event that brought together 20 growers from across Washington for an afternoon of education, connection, and community.

The event featured a lineup of presenters who covered everything growers need to know heading into this certification cycle. Program Manager Nathanial Helligso walked attendees through the sign-up process step by step, making the path to certification clear and approachable. Heather Muser of Muser Consulting then pulled back the curtain on the auditing process, sharing what she looks for in the field and practical tips to help growers feel confident and prepared. Brian Muegge of Salmon-Safe rounded out the presentations with an overview of the dual certification opportunity available to Sustainable WA participants.

The event was generously sponsored by Inland Desert Nursery, whose support helped make the afternoon possible.

Feedback from attendees has been positive. Growers noted that the content was useful, not just for navigating the sign-up process but for understanding what to expect when the auditor arrives.

Registration for the 2026 certification cycle remains open through May 15. If you missed the event, resources on how to apply and participate in the program are available at www.sustainablewa.com/resources Questions? Reach out to Nathanial Helligso directly at nathanial@wawinegrowers.org
