Unlocking Success: Latino Agriculture Education for Viticulture Program
Since its inception in 2006, the Washington Winegrowers has enjoyed a successful partnership with Wenatchee Valley Community College and Yakima Valley College to deliver the Latino Agriculture Education for Viticulture Program (LAEP) for viticulture. The primary objective of the program is to empower participants with practical knowledge and skills that can be immediately applied to enhance daily vineyard practices. The curriculum spans multiple weeks and the Level 2 class is primarily conducted in English, fostering language proficiency and promoting well-rounded development.
Advancing Expertise with LAEP:
Our program offers various levels of expertise to cater to individuals at different stages of their viticulture journey. Learn more about each level below:
2026-2027 TENTATIVE Dates:
Level 1 - Introduction to Viticulture AND
Level 3 - Vineyard Management and Integrated Pest Management
Classes will begin early November 2026 and continue through mid-March 2027.
Class meets once per week on Fridays
Graduation will be late March/early April 2027.

Requirements:
- Ability to read and write Spanish.
- English is not required
Since 2006 the Washington Winegrowers has partnered with the Wenatchee Valley College and the Yakima Valley College for the LAEP program.
