Sustainable WA registration for the 2026 certification cycle opens March 1. Whether you’re a returning participant or considering certification for the first time, apply early so there’s plenty of time to plan, complete the self-assessment, and prepare for your audit.

For returning growers, this is a good opportunity to get your account updated, confirm vineyard lists and contacts, and take advantage of the QLBS usability improvements being implemented based on 2025 feedback. For new applicants, certification provides a clear, Washington-built framework for demonstrating credible sustainability practices to winery and buyer partners, with a structured process that includes self-assessment and either desk and onsite audits.

Key dates for the 2026 cycle:

• March 1: Application window opens
• May 15: Application window closes
• June 1: Audits begin
• September 1: Audit period ends
• November 16: Corrective actions due
• December 31: 2026 certificates issued
