Looking ahead, 2026 will bring another full certification cycle and more opportunities to connect. We’ll host a Sustainable WA gathering in March (details to come) and follow this annual schedule:

• January– Publish list of 2025 certified vineyards and management companies
• March 1 – 2026 application window opens
• May 15 – Application window closes
• June 1 – Audits begin
• September 1 – Audit period ends
• November 16 – Corrective actions due
• December 31 – 2026 certificates issued

 

Goals

-Standard & Technical Committee

Run full Technical Committee review process for the vineyard standard targeting a 2027 release.

-QLBS & Systems Improvement

Implement QLBS usability fixes identified from 2025 grower feedback (navigation, data entry, clarity of questions).

-Education & Events

Host a Sustainable WA grower event in March (program overview, QLBS walk-through, “meet the auditor,”) and other possible  educational sessions based on low-scoring standard areas.

-Program Growth & Metrics

Aim to increase number of applicants and maintain or grow total certified acres while managing audit costs.
