Be Confident, Be Compliant: 2025 WSLCB & TTB Webinar Series Now Available for Members

In July, the Washington Winegrowers Association and the Washington Wine Institute once again partnered to host our annual “Be Confident, Be Compliant” webinar series—bringing together key regulatory experts from both the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (WSLCB) and the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB).

The goal: demystify the most critical compliance issues facing Washington wineries and equip industry members with practical, up-to-date information for maintaining lawful operations.

On July 23, the WSLCB team walked participants through licensing and permitting pathways, key legislative updates from the 2025 session, frequently misunderstood tied house laws, private label rules, offsite tasting room allowances, social media promotion limits, and how to prepare for an audit. They also outlined new rulemaking in progress around product placement restrictions and outdoor event endorsements related to the upcoming World Cup.

On July 30, the TTB team provided valuable guidance on federal labeling and formula requirements, recordkeeping obligations, best practices for submitting COLAs and operational reports, and how to proactively avoid violations. They also discussed recent updates to labeling guidance, clarified production limits under the Craft Beverage Modernization Act, and shared tips for navigating compliance reviews.
